The Companion assembles the Belgian, Danish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese and Spanish (as well as Latin American and Filipino) narratives of colonial institutions and practices, persons, events and legacies, not merely within the covers of a single book, but also as a constellation of related interactions between peoples and practices.
